NOTE No copy located.  Cf.  The Holy Bible; newly translated into English verse.  By J.  Taylor, D.D.  [York?]: Printed in the year, 1720.  72p.; 8.  British Library, RB.23.a.8290.  Rubricated.  An epitome of the Bible in verse, written by John Taylor and originally known as the Thumb Bible, which was first published in 1614 as 'Verbum sempitern' and in 1616 under the correct title 'Verbum sempiternum'.  'The New Testament', which was originally entitled 'Salvator mundi' has a separate titlepage dated 1719; the pagination and register are continuous.  The titlepage to the 'Holy Bible' is a cancel.  The printing looks northern, possibly printed in York.  ESTCT224479.
