  The Loyall resolution of the gentry and commonalty of the county of Yorke, presented to His Royall Majestie, concerning severall matters of great consequence between His Majestie and Sir Iohn Hotham, a member of the honourable House of Parliament, and by the appointment of the said House, governour of Hull. Wherein is declared the greatest manifestation both of their loyalty to their gracious soveraign, their due obedience to the Houses of Parliament, their judicious care to secure the peace and quiet of the kingdome, and increase a neerer union between his Majesty and the great councell of the kingdome. Likewise Sir Iohn Hothams determination concerning the charge which is committed to him by the Houses of Parliament.

  Severall letters of complaint from the northern parts of this kingdom. Setting forth the barbarous cruelty and inhumanity of the Scotch Army, in destroying whole families, and towns, and carrying away all manner of portable goods, and driving away all forts of cattle into the kingdome of Scotland. Also their murthering of women in child-bed and robbing parents of thier deer children, more barbarously then the Irish rebels. To which is added a declaration of the county of Yorke thereupon, concerning their rising, (from the age of 16 to 60) as one man, to supresse these treacherous invadors, and secure themselves from utter ruin.

  A Remonstrance of the present state of York-shire: together vvith a letter sent to the House of Commons, of Colonell Gorings landing at New-Castle, with ten thousand arms, twenty pieces of ordnance, twenty thousand pounds, and fourscore old commanders, horse, waggons, &c. He hath likewise brought over with him a standard from the Queen, which is to be advanced in the head of the Lord of Newcastles army, which is called, the Catholique army.
